Parish Council Meetings

Overview
Parish council meetings are held regularly to discuss and make decisions on local issues, community projects, and policies. These meetings are open to the public, and residents are encouraged to attend and participate. Please see our Policy at the bottom of this page regarding Public Participation at Meetings.
Meeting Schedule
Meetings are typically held on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm in the Bishop Middleham Village Hall. Special meetings may be scheduled as needed, and notices will be posted on the parish council website and community noticeboards.
Accessing Agendas and Minutes
Agendas for upcoming meetings are published about a week in advance and can be accessed on this page of the Parish Council website and noticeboards in Mainsforth and Bishop Middleham. Minutes from previous meetings are also available opposite, providing a detailed record of discussions and decisions.

How can I participate in the meetings?
Participation is open to all residents. You can join the discussion by attending the meetings in person and voicing your opinions during the allocated time for public comments. We value your input and encourage active involvement.
What topics are typically discussed?
Our meetings cover a wide range of topics, including local development projects, community events, budget allocations, and public services. We aim to address issues that are important to our residents and welcome suggestions for future agenda items.
Do I need to register before attending?
No registration is required to attend the meetings. Simply arrive at Bishop Middleham Village Hall before the meeting starts at 7pm. We look forward to seeing you there!
Can I bring up new topics during the meeting?
Yes, there is a designated time during each meeting for public comments, where you can introduce new topics or concerns. We encourage you to share your thoughts and ideas with the council.
Are the meeting minutes available to the public?
Yes, the minutes from each meeting are documented and made available to the public. You can access them on our Parish Council website or request a copy from the council office.
