Michaelmas Fair 2025

🎉 Michaelmas Fair 2025: A Day of Joy, Skill, and Community Spirit

On Saturday 27th September, Bishop Middleham came alive with colour, laughter, and community pride as we celebrated our annual Michaelmas Fair. From the moment the stilt walkers greeted visitors with towering smiles, it was clear this would be a day to remember.

🌀 Entertainment That Dazzled
Crowds gathered to enjoy a vibrant mix of performances, from the dynamic Blade Taekwondo demonstrations to the timeless charm of Punch and Judy, expertly delivered by David Frow. Stage Invaders brought circus skills and bubble magic to the green, captivating children and adults alike with their playful energy.

🎪 Craftsmanship and Creativity on Display
Though our stalls were few, they brimmed with the talent and dedication of local makers. Each one showcased the skill, care, and creativity that make our parish so special. And of course, the ever-popular funfair rides—courtesy of Turners Funfair—were a hit with families throughout the day.

🍔 Food, Treats, and Sweet Moments
Visitors were spoiled for choice with delicious offerings: sizzling burgers and hot dogs, delicate crepes, refreshing drinks, and ice cream to top it all off. The aromas alone were enough to draw a crowd!

🎟️ Tombola Triumph
Our tombola was gone in the blink of an eye, raising an impressive £150. We’re proud to share that this will be split equally between The Great North Air Ambulance Service and Parkinson’s UK—two causes close to our hearts.

🙏 Gratitude to All Who Made It Happen
To everyone who gave their time, shared their skills, or simply came along to enjoy the day—thank you. You made the fair truly special. We extend heartfelt thanks to Thompsons of Prudhoe for their continued and vital support of community projects in Bishop Middleham. Without their generosity, events like this simply wouldn’t be possible.

🎈 Free Fun for All
We’re proud to offer events that include free fairground rides, free face painting, and free entertainment—ensuring everyone can join in, regardless of circumstance.
